Bexley

A south-east London area and part of the Bexley London Borough is Bexley, England. To differentiate from the borough that is wider, the area, sometimes as Bexley Village it is known.

It is located to Bexleyheath's south and to Charing Cross's east-southeast by (21 km) 13 miles. A Kent county parish that is ancient was Bexley.

A former address that is stately on the Bourne Road beside the River Cray towards Crayford out of Bexley, where lived the baronets of Austen, is Hall Place. At (Gravel Hill) the road's foot up onto (now covered in the Bexleyheath town that is modern day) Bexley Heath, it lies to the north of Bexley.

Now owned by the London Borough of Bexley, and are open to the public, are the house and grounds. Bexley, in population, increased, becoming in 1935 a borough that is municipal and has formed since 1965 part of Greater London, as part of London's 20th century growth that is suburban.

A Kent ancient parish, in Rochester, and formed part of the Urban District of Bexley under the LGA 1894, was Bexley. Came from Bexley was the Shaw family: Worked on Lamorbey Park and a well-known architect in Kent and Middlesex, being one of the capital's first semi-detached housing designers, was John Shaw (1776-1832).

Located on Manor Way is Bexley Cricket Club. Also play their home matches here and located at Manor Way, at Erith School or at Hurstmere School, is Burnt Ash (Bexley) Hockey Club.
